Dr. Lyle Bowlin

Investment Strategist

Financial Markets, Entrepreneurship, and Research have been cornerstones Dr. Lyle Bowlin’s life for nearly 50 years.

His experience of building and selling an online bookstore from scratch in the 1990s, participating in a part of then Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer’s presentation for the launch of Office 2000, being published in highly respected economic journals including the Journal of Portfolio Management, and directing a Small Business Development Center in Iowa provide him a unique perspective for analyzing the complex environment of the Financial Markets.

As a Financial Advisor with the Allen-Albritton-Houghton-Hammond Group, Dr. Bowlin utilizes his unique set of experiences and decades of academic market research as an integral part of the team’s Investment Committee specializing in individual company and macroeconomic analysis.

Born and raised in Iowa, a lifelong Iowa Hawkeye fan, Dr. Bowlin received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Iowa. He also completed doctoral studies at Iowa and went on to receive his doctorate in finance from Nova Southeastern University

Dr. Bowlin has served in numerous roles at Southeastern University since coming to Florida in 2002 including two stints as Dean of the Jannetides College of Business and Entrepreurial Leadership at Southeastern.

Throughout his nearly 20 years in Lakeland he has been a fixture of the local business community. He has served on many local boards including as United Way of Central Florida and the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.

Lyle holds his Series 7 and 66 registrations with LPL Financial.
